Employer Sponsored Child Care:
Our Adventures in Early Learning Center provides care and early education for children whose parents are employed by one of the following business partners: Capitol Federal Savings, First Presbyterian Church, Hill's Pet Nutrition.
Parent-Child Learning Center:
The PCLC program is a cooperative educational program and serves infants- 6 years of teen parents attending Highland Park High School as well as being open to the community as slots are available. The goal of the program is to help parenting teenagers continue their secondary education. Operating hours of this center follow the USD 501 school calendar.
The success of all our programs is heavily dependent on parental support. Parents are an important part of children's learning and we believe that communication and working together are very important. We welcome your questions, suggestions, and participation!
Each quarter, children who attend TDC Learning Centers receive a developmental assessment which is used to help develop each child's Individual Learning Plan. These plans are developed in cooperation with parents at twice yearly parent/teacher conferences and also through quarterly reports.
Parents are welcome to stop by the center anytime and are encouraged to take an active role in their child's education. Most centers offer a Parent Connect group which give parents an opportunity to work together to provide special family events, teacher appreciation events and more.
Also, TDC offers special programs which provide opportunities for families to come together and learn! Through our Healthy Kids and Families initiative, bi-monthly family fun nights are held where families have the opportunity to learn about healthy lifestyles while enjoying time together.
Center newsletters, daily classroom activity sheets and classroom newsletters will help you to keep up to date on what is happening around the Center.
Last, but not least, each month, parents will receive the TDC Terrific Take Home, which is a monthly education sheet developed by our very own TDC teachers to help you extend your child's education into your home.
We invite you to drop by anytime. Appointments are never necessary. We want you and your child to retain pleasant memories of time spent at TDC. If we are currently serving your child, we thank you for choosing TDC. If you are looking for a child care provider, we would love to become a partner in your child's education. Please see the contact information to get started. The Center Director at each site would be happy to answer any questions you may have as well as getting your child on the waiting list if there aren't currently any openings.
